Tissue growth and repair for both mother and baby require protein. Foods rich in protein include lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, lentils, tofu, eggs.

5. Omega-3 Fatty Acid-Rich Foods:

Omega-3 fatty acids are important for the baby’s brain and eye development. Omega-3-rich foods include fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel, and sardines, as well as flaxseeds, chia seeds, and walnuts. The daily requirement in pregnancy is 200 to 300 milligrams per day.

6. Hydrating Foods:

Staying hydrated is important for both the mother and the growing baby. So, hydrating foods include water, fruit juices, and fruits such as watermelons and berries.
